An electronic display board like BoardMaker enables students to see the whole presentation with the ability to drill down into the parts of the presentation.  Relating the parts to the whole is an important strategy in organizing learning activities.  In designing a display board, the author will have 36 combinations from which to choose. Panels with text components support scrollable text and the standard controls of font size, color, alignment, bold, underline, and italics. Panels with image components support animations, and image captioning.
